The Ada Wallenbach Foundation will host an evening workshop, "Avoid the Ten Most Common Job Hunting Mistakes College Students Make," presented by Carrie Stahl, Ph.D., president and founder of Strategic Solutions, a career coaching and out placement firm. Explosive Performance is registering student athletes for its 2004 summer camps at the Sport & Health Club location in Herndon. The one-week camps contain two hours of training per day to improve performance in the sport of the athlete's choice. Sessions are broken into two age groups: ages 9-13 and ages 14-18. The League of Women Voters will present, in cooperation with Fairfax County Public Schools Adult and Community Education, "More Power to You," an overview of how local government works and how it relates to Virginia state government. The four sessions, will be held on Wednesdays, from 7-9 p.m., in the Fairfax County Government Center. The topics are:

* Sept. 15: "Activating Your Citizenship."

* Sept. 29: "Evolution and Powers of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors."

* Oct. 13: "Navigating Authorities, Commissions and Departments."

* Oct. 27: "Functions of the Fairfax County School Board."

Wee Play. A weekly activity class for ages 2-3 and their parents. Sing songs, make crafts, play with balls, hoops, and paddles, shake the parachute and enjoy a snack. Gentle Hatha Yoga. Group sessions for beginners and those who would prefer to remain at a gentle level are offered Saturdays, 12-1:30 p.m., at Brown's Chapel, 11300 Baron Cameron Ave, Reston.
