The Rev. Cynthia Vermillion-Foster will begin a summer series of lessons based on the movies at Unity Life Center in Chantilly. She will focus on the "Star Wars" movies — particularly "The Empire Strikes Back." The "Star Wars" films speak of a force that is all around and always available if people would only focus their minds and pay attention. This concept is analogous to Unity's concept of God as a loving energy that surrounds us and seeks to express through us. The lesson for July 11 will be "The Force Be with You." This lesson will focus on tuning into that presence and power, that "force," so as to live a more fulfilling life and to positively impact the world. Join the 10 a.m. service this Sunday at Unity Life Center 14088-C Sullyfield Cir, Chantilly, www.unitylife.org or call 703-263-7645.

What if the Universe worked according to your wishes and all major events in your life worked out according to your design? We can all harness the power of the Universe through our thoughts but first we need to understand how to effectively use our minds. Kerri Kannan has found that her life has worked out according to plan, all because of conscious use of her thoughts. Seize Your Power is designed to help participants understand why our minds are our most powerful tools and how we can all create the world and experiences we desire. Pre-registration is requested by calling the church office at 703-263-7645. Join in the workshop on Saturday, July 3 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Unity Life Center 14088-C Sullyfield Cir, Chantilly. A love offering for the course and materials will be gratefully accepted.
