Pedals for progress. The Little River United Church of Christ, Annandale, sponsors a bicycle collection for Pedals for Progress from 12-3 p.m., in their parking lot. Pedals for Progress is a charitable organization that collects used bicycles and ships them to developing countries in Latin America, Africa and the Pacific Islands, where they are reconditioned and distributed at low cost to poor working adults. Participants are asked to bring any adult or child's bike that is in repairable condition and a denotation of at least $10 to help cover the shipping cost of each bike.
