Abducted from Herndon

<bt>Sunday, May 23, 1 a.m., a 40-year-old Sterling area woman was abducted from the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 2400 block of Merrybrook Drive in the Herndon area by Jannay E. Cabrera-Morel, 23, of Fort Pulaski Court in Dumfries, according to Fairfax County Police. The woman got in her car with her 3-year-old daughter when Cabrera-Morel approached and forced his way into the driver’s seat. Police said Cabrera-Morel threatened both the woman and her child and demanded sex from the woman. Cabrera-Moral drove both of them to the Holiday Inn at the Chantilly Shopping Center in the Chantilly area. He forced both victims to accompany him as she rented a hotel room. The hotel clerk noticed that the woman silently mouthed “help” and “call police.”

As Cabrera-Morel and his victims went to the hotel room, the hotel clerk called police and then called the hotel room to check on the woman. After police officers arrived and were able to interview the woman, Cabrera-Moral was taken into custody. Cabrera-Moral was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and charged with abduction with intent to defile, abduction, carjacking and possession of cocaine. He was held without bond.
