Police Seek Armed Robbers

<bt>Fairfax County police are looking for two men who robbed a Centreville couple at gunpoint last week, shooting at one of the victims as they drove away. The incident occurred last Friday, around 8:30 a.m. in the 12700 block of Heron Ridge Drive.

Police say the husband was sitting on the driver's side of his car in the driveway of their townhouse. But as his wife left their home to join him, the men approached her. One man brandished a handgun and grabbed a bag the wife was carrying. The second man robbed the husband of his wallet, cell phone and keys.

Then, say police, as the robbers were getting back into their car, one of them fired a shot once at the wife. The bullet struck the townhouse and the couple was uninjured. The two suspects fled in a green, four-door, older-model Nissan Sentra.

One man is described as Hispanic, 25-28 years old, 5 feet 2 inches, chunky and clean-shaven. He wore a red shirt and black pants. The second man is described as 6 feet tall. Anyone with information about this incident or the suspects is asked to call Fairfax County police at 703-691-2131 or Crime Solvers at 1-800-673-2777.
