Arlington Parking Guide. Arlington County has released a guide showing where to park in the Rosslyn-Ballston Corridor. The guide includes on-street parking locations, public garages and an explanation of the color-coded meters, as well as guides to public transit and biking options. Update Arlington is a new five-minute news and information program, airing on Arlington's government cable Channel 71. This new show, produced by the county's television staff, provides a quick overview of current issues and upcoming events in Arlington. It is broadcast very hour on the hour in English, and in Spanish at 3 p.m. and 9 p.m., throughout the week. It's produced each Thursday with a new edition cable cast every Friday on AVN-71.
Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) NoVA is conducting its annual "Tie One on For Safety Ribbon Campaign." Free MADD Ribbons are available for anyone interested in sending a message to not drink and drive. Super Senior Taxi (SST): Transportation for Arlington's senior citizens residents ages 75 years and up, which provides access to a subsidized taxi program. Participants may purchase up to 10 taxi coupon books until June 30, 2005. Applications for the program are available at your Senior Center, through the Agency on Aging, or at the Commuter Stores. Coupon books cost $10 and contain $20 in taxi coupons. The coupons are used the same as cash and they never expire.
