Thanksgiving Day Service. First Church of Christ, Scientist, Mount Vernon will hold a Thanksgiving Day service at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 25, at 1509 Collingwood Road, off Ft. Hunt Road. The theme of the sermon is from Psalms "Unto thee, O God, do we give thanks, unto thee do we give thanks: for that thy name is near thy wondrous works declare." Thanksgiving Eve Service. Mount Vernon Presbyterian Church holds a Thanksgiving Eve Service at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 24. Everyone is invited to attend. Mount Vernon Church is located at 2001 Sherwood Hall Lane. Call 703-765-6118.

Up Where We Belong Family Ministry will hold its Northern Virginia's Super Church event, the third Sunday of every month starting at 10:40 a.m., at Mount Vernon High School's main auditorium. The Washington Farm United Methodist Church will be presenting "Bethlehem Street" this year to all in the community that would like to attend. The production will be held Sunday Dec. 19, from 5-7 p.m., at Washington Farm United Methodist Church, 3921 Old Mill Road.
