A police impersonator who stole money from a man has been caught. Jesus Sossa-Vivancos, 35, of 13890 Montoclair Lane in Woodbridge, has been charged with obtaining goods under false pretense (felony), credit card theft (felony), petit larceny (misdemeanor), and impersonating a police officer (misdemeanor) after an incident that took place in the Pimmit Hills area on Sunday, Oct. 3. About 1:30 p.m. a man, 46, who lived nearby, was at the bus stop located at Leesburg Pike and Pimmit Drive when a vehicle pulled up to him, and the driver, Sossa-Vivancos, identified himself as a police officer. The victim was ordered into the vehicle and he complied. Under the guise of conducting an investigation, the suspect asked for the victim’s wallet and ATM PIN number.
