Crime

The following incidents were reported by the Alexandria Police Department.

BURGLARY:

3300 Jefferson Davis Hwy. Oct. 13, 8 p.m. - Oct. 14, 8 a.m. Someone entered the business by undetermined means and stole tires.

600 block of S. Alfred St. Oct. 15, between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Someone gained entry to the residence by undetermined means. Once inside, the suspect stole electronic equipment.

2200 block of N. Pickett St. Oct. 15, 11:30 p.m. - Oct. 16, 12 p.m. Someone gained entry to the residence through an unlocked door. Once inside, the suspect stole money, a cell phone and other items.

400 block of S. Whiting St. Oct. 15, between 2 p.m. and 10 p.m. Someone gained entry to the residence by undetermined means. Once inside, the suspect stole clothing and household items.

1623 N. Quaker Lane. Oct. 15, between 7:55 p.m. and 7:58 p.m. Someone broke out the glass in a door to gain entry to the business. Once inside, the suspect stole money.

1000 block of Dartmouth Road. Oct. 15, 10:00 a.m. - Oct. 19, 12:10 a.m. Someone entered the residence by force through the front door. Once inside, the suspect stole jewelry.

500 block of Slaters Lane. Oct. 16, 10 a.m. - Oct. 20, 9:15 a.m. Someone forced entry into a locked desk drawer of the business and stole money.

5500 block of Ascot Court. Oct. 17, between 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Someone entered two apartments and stole electronic games. In one of the cases, the suspect entered through an unlocked window and in the second case, the suspect entered through an unlocked front door. In the second burglary, the resident returned home and discovered the juvenile suspect sitting in his apartment. The victim questioned the juvenile and then called police. The 14-year-old male juvenile was arrested and charged with Statutory Burglary.

400 block of S. Columbus St. Oct. 20, between 12:15 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Someone entered the residence through an unsecured door and stole money, a purse and electronic equipment.

ROBBERY:

1000 block of W. Glebe Road. Oct. 17, between 1:30 a.m. and 1:40 a.m. A 26-year-old Fairfax County man, was unlocking his car in a parking lot when he saw the suspect running toward him. The victim got into his car but was unable to close the door before the suspect reached him. The suspect displayed a bladed instrument and demanded money. The victim resisted and a brief struggle ensued. The suspect removed the victim's wallet and ran off. He was last seen entering a dark blue older model car that was parked nearby. The victim suffered minor scrapes and did not require medical treatment. The suspect is described as a black male, 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 10 inches, 160-175 lbs., and wearing a cream-colored knit hat, black jacket and blue jeans.

Corner of W. Braddock and Russell Roads. Oct. 16, between 4:12 a.m. and 4:25 a.m. A 37-year-old Alexandria man was walking home when two suspects approached him from behind. They asked him a question and then began assaulting him. He fought back but they were able to take his wallet from him. The victim broke away and ran to his home. He suffered minor abrasions and was treated by paramedics, but refused further medical treatment. Suspect #1 is described as a white Hispanic male, 28-38, 5 feet 11 inches to 6 feet , 190-200 lbs., and wearing jeans. The second suspect is described as a white male, 28-38, 5 feet to 5 feet 5 inches, and 130-140 lbs.

GRAND LARCENY AUTO:

5500 block of Trent Court. Oct. 16, 10:30 p.m. to Oct. 17, 112 p.m. Stolen: 1992 Honda Civic, four-door, black.

Unit block of S. Van Dorn St. Oct. 20, 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Stolen: 2001 Honda Accord, four-door, green.

2700 block of Duke St. Oct. 20, 9 p.m. to Oct. 21, 10 a.m. Stolen: 2000 Suzuki Vitara, sport utility, green/grey.
