<lst>The following incidents were reported to the West Springfield District Station of the Fairfax County Police Department.
<cal1>Assault
<cal2>5200 block Olley Lane. A 17-year-old Lake Braddock High School student was assaulted on the way to school. On Wednesday, Sept. 15, around 7:30 a.m., a female student was walking on a wooded path off of Olley Lane in the Burke area, when she was grabbed from behind by a man. The student screamed and pushed the suspect away, at which point he fled. The student was uninjured. The victim was able to provide a detailed description. A nearby police officer on patrol spotted the suspect and took him into custody. Douglas Amaya-Guevara, 38, of the 5000 block of Harford Lane in the Burke area, was charged with assault and battery and taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where he was held on a $2,500 bond.
<cal1>DRIVING WHILE INTOXICATED
<cal2>8100 block Viola St. A man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after he drove his car into a house. On Friday, Sept. 10, at 10 p.m., Tai Chun Kang of Viola Street in the Springfield area was driving his 1996 Ford west on Viola Street when he sideswiped two parked cars. Kang then drove over the curb and into the front of a home on the same street. There were no injuries and Kang was arrested.
