Hunt and Joyce Brown of Alexandria celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Sept. 14 while visiting their eldest daughter in Missoula, Mont.
Hunt Brown of Mansfield, Ohio, and Joyce Wilkinson of Alexandria, met while attending the College of William & Mary. They were married at Saint Paul's Episcopal Church in Alexandria Tuesday, Sept. 14, 1954.
Hunt Brown worked in the mortgage banking field, and also served as a volunteer fireman. He was chief of Company 9, Mount Vernon.
Joyce Brown volunteered with historical organizations, including Gunston Hall, Ramsey House and Pohick Church. She also worked in the Commonwealth's Attorney's office for several years.
They have two daughters, two grandsons, a dog and lots of friends and relations.
Their children and grandchildren wish them a wonderful anniversary and many more.
