Robinson Secondary hosts county science fair.

Budding scientists filled the field house at Robinson Secondary School in Fairfax on April 1-3, for the Fairfax County Regional Science and Engineering Fair. Hundreds of entries coming from each of the county’s public schools and a few private schools competed in 13 different disciplines such as physics, computer science, botany and engineering.

Grand Prize winners will compete in the international science fair in Phoenix, Ariz. The individual winners for 2005 are Kathleen Clement, Langley High; Ann Kennedy, Jefferson High; Justin Solomon, Jefferson High; Nicholas Jachowski, West Potomac High; Cindy Spahn, H.D. Woodson High; Jonathan Cross, Robinson Secondary; Nina Huffman, Langley High; Stephen Honan, H.D. Woodson High; Lauren Chuday, Oakton High and Benjamin Schwank, Madison High.

Grand Prize Team Winners were Brittany Koffer and Rachel Koffer, Chantilly High; Amy Duong and Samantha Saenger, H.D. Woodson High; Gabriella Lively, Trent Lukaczyk and Sarah Parsons, Robinson Secondary; Erin Hopke, John LeBarge III and Andrew Scholle, Jefferson High; and Ryan Conner and Doug Hastings, Jefferson High.
