Watershed Cleanup Rescheduled

Last Saturday’s 17th Annual Potomac Watershed Cleanup in Reston was canceled due to rain, but has been rescheduled for Saturday, April 9, from 9 a.m. to noon, rain or shine. Reston Association is hosting several sites in Reston along tributaries to the Potomac River, including Snakeden Branch, Colvin Run and The Glade. The cleanup emphasizes that the health of the Potomac depends not only on what is done along the shores but throughout the watershed. The event at Reston sites had more than 200 volunteers signed up before it was canceled last week and organizers hope to repeat those numbers. RSVP to Diana Saccone, 703-435-6560 or diana@reston.org to be assigned to a meeting location.
