Remembering Rachel Crossett With a Tea

50 people attend fund-raiser, fashion show and bingo for Teardrops to Rainbows

Nearly 50 people attended a tea for Rachel Crossett on Saturday at St. John’s Episcopal Church in the Centreville Historic District. “This is great," said organizer Meg Crossett of Pleasant Hill. "Each year it grows and doubles in size.” The event was a fund-raiser for Teardrops to Rainbows, a nonprofit organization started in her daughter Rachel’s memory to support families who have a child with cancer. Rachel died at age 6 in 2001 after a long battle with neuroblastoma. Teardrops to Rainbows helps families who are going through cancer treatments with their child by providing financial support and family services. For more details, visit teardropstorainbows.org.
