Stroller Strides announces it will offer classes at Middleburg Community Center and Loudoun Valley Community Center beginning Sept. 6. Classes at Middleburg will be held Tuesday and Friday, at 10 a.m. Classes at Loudoun Valley will be held Tuesday and Thursday, at 9:15 a.m. Classes will continue at the Leesburg location Ñ Potomac Station Multi Purpose court Ñ Monday and Wednesday at 9:30 a.m.

The Loudoun Cooperative Extension is offering a the ServSafe Food Sanitation course as a two-day class, Sept. 13 and 20, from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m., at the Loudoun Extension Office, 30B Catoctin Circle, S.E., Leesburg. Cost is $104 and includes text, examination and certificate. Includes instruction on the microworld, contamination and food-borne illness, purchasing and receiving safe foods, food storage, food protection in preparation and service, employee sanitation training, organizing a cleaning program, pest control, accident prevention and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points. The Loudoun Cooperative Extension is offering a seminar on Starting a Family Child Care Business to provided caregivers with the tools to develop a home-based child-care service. Includes an overview of the requirements for state licensing, information on how to obtain a business license and local zoning permit for compliance with ordinances, a discussion on the Child and Adult Care Food program.
