<lst>Enjoy a social Sunday evening at the Reston Community Center's monthly Country-Western Dance. The featured dances (line-dance, two-step, hustle and swing) can be quickly mastered by anyone regardless of skill level. Dances take place monthly in RCC's Hunters Woods Community Room from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Future dances are Sunday, Jan. 8; Sunday, Feb. 5; Sunday, March 5; Sunday, April 2; Sunday, May 7. Refreshments are provided. Admission is $5 per person. The dances are for people age 18 or older.

The 2006 Herndon Adult Basketball League is accepting teams for the league starting play in January. Teams may register at the Herndon Community Center, 814 Ferndale Ave. The league has Men’s, Women’s and Corporate Divisions. Registrations will be accepted until Dec. 19. The Greater Reston Art Center, in collaboration with the Market Street Bar and Grill at the Reston Hyatt, will present an exhibition featuring Delna Dastur, an abstract painter who uses paint, charcoal and ink. The show will be on display from through Jan. 9. GRACE, a nonprofit visual arts organization, is located in the Reston Town Center at 12001 Market St., Suite 103, on the corner of Market and St. Francis streets. The Council for the Arts of Herndon announces rehearsals for the Herndon Symphony Orchestra will take place every Tuesday, from 7-9 p.m., at the Herndon Middle School's band room, 901 Locust St. Musicians of all ages and talent levels are welcome to attend. The American Red Cross of the National Capital Area's Fairfax/Falls Church Office, in conjunction with the Fairfax County Citizen Corps Council, will sponsor an Emergency Preparedness Clinic once a month for the next year. The clinics will be held in a different location in the County, the schedule will posted in libraries, on the Web Site, and other public locations.
