Cell Phones for Soldiers announces that the office of Dr. Bruce Hutchison, 14245-P Centreville Square, Centreville, has joined the program as a sponsor and cell phone collection center. Cell phones may be dropped off at the office during normal business hours. The office phone number is 703-830-9110.

Cell phones for Soldiers was started by two Massachusetts teen-agers to help buy calling cards to send to our soldiers serving in the Middle East. Started in April of 2004, Cell Phones for Soldiers has raised more than $150,000 and has sent more than 4,000 prepaid calling cards to our troops.

The program will accept any make or model cell phone. Drop off the cell phone with the attached battery only. The cell phones are recycled for cash to purchase more calling cards. Visit the Web site at www.cellphonesforsoldiers.com, or call 781-826-5801, ext. 102 for details.

Bowman Consulting Group, Ltd., of Chantilly, will be matching all employee donations, dollar-for-dollar, up to $10,000 to support tsunami victims. All donations will be given to CARE, one of the world's largest private international humanitarian organizations that has been delivering food, clean water, shelter supplies and other necessities to victims of the disaster.

Chantilly business Atlantic Billiards, Bars and Spas, a retailer of furnishings for outdoor living, was recently honored as a top dealer for Cal Spas. More than 500 dealers from around the world competed for top sales honors.

The awards for excellence in sales capped off three days of special events at the International Pool Spa Expo in Las Vegas.

Bowman Consulting Group, Ltd., of Chantilly, has entered into an agreement to purchase the assets of H. Aubrey Hawkins & Associates, a Fredericksburg-based engineering and surveying firm. The transaction is scheduled to close in early February. It will mark the formal opening of Bowman's eighth office, which will serve the Fredericksburg region as well as areas stretching south to Richmond and west to Culpeper. This full service office will be staffed by 30 professionals and will bring Bowman's overall staff to over 300.
