Stone Bridge High School's graduating seniors will be celebrating again this year with an all-night, substance-free party on graduation night. To raise money for this event, the SBHS Project Graduation committee is sponsoring The 2nd annual "SBHS Car or Cash Sweepstakes."

Tickets go on sale Feb. 1 and the last ticket will be sold by March 31. Only 600 tickets will be sold. Tickets cost $30 and the winner can choose between a brand new 2005 Nissan Sentra from Brown's Sterling Nissan or $10,000 cash. The winner does not need to be present to win.

All proceeds go toward the all-night, substance-free party for Stone Bridge High School's graduation seniors on graduation night, June 17.

Kids Under Construction Preschool in Sterling will have an open house tour Feb. 2, at 10 a.m. Includes information about the preschool and registration for the 2005/6 school year and a tour of the facility. Winnie-the-Pooh Preschool will hold an open

house Feb. 3 for the 2005-06 school year, from 7-9 p.m., at the preschool located at Mount Hope Baptist Church on Belmont Ridge Road in Ashburn. Winnie-the-Pooh is a nondenominational cooperative preschool that offers morning and afternoon classes for 3- to 5-year-olds. 2005-06 tuition rates are set at $110 per month for a two-day junior program, $130 per month for a three-day senior program and $160 per month for a four-day prekindergarten program. Seldens Landing Elementary School, 43345 Coton Commons Drive, Leesburg, will be holding a Mardi Gras Carnival, Saturday, Feb. 5, from 4-8 p.m. Includes carnival games, moon bounce, Atlantis Adventure, food and music.

Dominion High School drama department presents an updated version of William Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet." The play will use all of the original dialogue from the Shakespeare classic. While not changing the words, they have given a modern look to the play. The actors will be wearing modern dress and using modern scenery to bring the play into the 21st century. The production will include choreographed fight scenes with the help of Kevin Robertson of the Sterling Playmakers.

The play will run from Feb. 10-13, at 7:30 p.m. Thursday-Saturday; Sunday matinee at 3 p.m. Opening night, Outback Steakhouse will be providing dinner, from 5-7 p.m., for the public at the school for $15 for adults, $6 for 12 and under and $35 for a family. Dinner includes your play ticket; reservations are required and can be made at the Dominion High School Web site. Deadline for reservation is Feb. 4 and must be accompanied by the payment.
