Tracy Pless, CRS, GRI, of Long & Foster Real Estate in Reston, was named the 2004 Sales Associate of the Year during the Virginia Association of Realtors'(VAR) annual awards banquet on Thursday, Feb.10, in Richmond. The Sales Associate of the Year award recognizes character and integrity, quality service to clients, professional knowledge, and commitment to professionalism.

Pless is 2005 Chairman of the Board of the Northern Virginia Association of Realtors (NVAR) and has served in various positions at the state and local Realtor association levels. A Realtor since 1986, she is a Graduate of the Realtors Institute (GRI) and a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS). She is an NVAR Life Top Producer and Life Member of the Million Dollar Sales Club.

Pless has served on NVAR’s Board of Directors since 1999 and has been active in numerous committees, including Government Affairs, Legislative Bill Review, and the Northern Virginia/ Realtors Political Action Committee (RPAC). During 2004, she was a member of the Reston Chamber of Commerce Public Policy Committee and Transportation Committee.

The Fairfax County offices of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage (CBRB) offer free weekly career seminars for those interested in learning more about a career in real estate. Information about the residential real estate profession and the opportunities available are among the topics to be discussed. The Reston Office of Weichert, Realtors completed its annual coat drive in December, donating 450 new and slightly used coats to the Salvation Army to distribute to needy families throughout the area. Bergmann’s Dry Cleaners cleaned the coats to prepare them for donation.

Long & Foster announces its top sales associates in

Fairfax County for December 2004. Anita Lasansky, manager of the Herndon/Reston Long & Foster office, announces Virgilio Vasquez as the top producer, top lister, top seller and the agent with the most new listings with a sales volume of $8,375,865.

Michael Guthrie, manager of the Reston Long & Foster office, announces Angela Mitchell as the top producer, top lister and the agent with the most new listings with a sales volume of $3,184,200; and Pat and Karen Bray as the agents with the most new listings.

Jon Querolo, manager of the Reston North Hills Long & Foster office, announces John Brand as the top producer and the top seller with a sales volume of $5,744,000; Esin Reinhardt as the top lister; and Debbie Tencza and Mark Wilson as the agents with the most new listings.

Wes Foster, chairman of the board and chief executive officer of The Long & Foster Companies, announces that he will match contributions made by Long & Foster sales associates and staff to the tsunami relief efforts taking place in Southeast Asia.

Foster pledged that he would match company contributions to any reputable relief organization dollar for dollar up to $10,000. The company has raised more than $100,000 to date.
