The Sunday, Jan. 23, service at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Loudoun will explore how our spiritual health influences our physical health. In a service titled, "Healing Happens," parishioner and former president of UUCL, Peggy Fallon, examines the philosophy of living in accordance with the shared moral principals of major religions to maintain a healthier and happier life. The international-acclaimed Purdue Varsity Glee Club will present a concert at the Sterling United Methodist Church, Friday, Jan. 21, 7 p.m., in the church sanctuary. James Stafford will be leading a Bible for Liberals at the Unitarian Universalists of Sterling, taking a literary and critical approach to the Bible. The ancient historical, cultural, literary and religious heritage both in and beyond the Bible will be explored. Open to those who have and those who have not read the Bible. "The Separation of Church and State: A Faith Perspective" will be the topic of the Rev. Roberta Finkelstein's service at the Unitarian Universalists of Sterling Sunday, Jan. 23, at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Finkelstein will talk about the spiritual, not religious, foundation of this nation, and how people of faith can best protect both their government and their faith communities. The Loudoun Church Alliance is a formal association of churches of many denominations, founded two years ago.
