<bt>Cold and icy weather didn’t deter the almost 500 guests who filled the hall at Good Shepherd Catholic Church last Sunday. The occasion was the 13th Annual Capitol Steps performance to benefit United Community Ministries (UCM). Over $65,000 was raised through sponsorships, ticket sales, raffle sales and bar sales.
Chairpersons Gale Curcio and Maureen McGuire-Kuletz presented a check to Cheri Zeman, executive director of UCM. Nancy Hawkins, president of Friends of UCM welcomed guests and acknowledged committee members, Friends members, and UCM board members.
The show went on without a glitch, despite the fact that the regular Steps cast were stuck in another city. The members performing this show poked fun, as usual, at all the political elements.
