About 25,000 people were entertained last weekend at the Reston Festival, which celebrated the community’s 41st birthday with two full days of entertainment, fine arts and crafts, local cuisine, and dozens of activities for all ages. The celebration, at Reston Town Center, July 9 and 10, showcased the best local entertainment talent, artisans, businesses and community resources in celebration of the birthday of Reston.
The first Reston Festival began in 1967 at the Lake Anne Village Center, sponsored by the Reston Citizens Association (RCA). Last weekend’s celebration was sponsored by the RCA, Reston Association, and the Reston Community Center as well as other groups and businesses.
