The Garden Gate Plant Shop in Green Spring Park, 4603 Green Spring Road, Alexandria, sells plants propagated from those grown in the Park, including uncommon varieties rarely found in local nurseries. Proceeds go to the Friends of Green Spring, a nonprofit organization which supports the Park's gardens and educational programs. The Shop is open Monday-Saturday 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and Sunday noon-4 p.m. Call 703-642-5173.

Meadowlark Botanical Gardens is located near Vienna, at 9750 Meadowlark Gardens Court, off of Beulah Road, between Route 7 and Route 123. The gardens are open 10 a.m.-7:30 p.m. in May.
