Ellen Fein is retiring after five years as principal of Sterling Middle School. She was previously assistant principal at this school for 15 years and a teacher in the Loudoun County school system before that. She worked for a total of 31 years in public education, 28 of them in Loudoun. Michael Williams, formerly an assistant principal at Swanson Middle School in Arlington, has been named as the school's new principal. The school held a farewell celebration for Fein Monday.
