"Strictly Painting 5," the McLean Project for the Arts' biennial juried exhibition, features mid-Atlantic artists working with paint or paint in combination with other materials, and runs through July 30. The opening reception and jurors' remarks are Thursday, June 23 from 7-9 p.m. The exhibition is curated by Jonathan P. Binstock, Curator of Contemporary Art at the Corcoran Gallery of Art. The Great Falls Art Center provides weekly classes in drawing, oil painting, pottery, sculpture and art history for children over 6, teenagers, adults and seniors at its Walker Road studio in Great Falls.
