Rosemont

Thanks to the Hendi family of Rosemont for reporting on Maury School's 75th Anniversary celebration on June 3. Here is their report:

"Hi, my name is Sebastian Hendi. I'm 8 years old and in the 2nd grade in Ms. Hee's class at Maury. For Maury's 75th anniversary ceremony, my Cub Scout group (Pack 135), led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. It went well. It was the best pledge ever! The city's mayor and the school superintendent were there, and gave speeches; short ones, thankfully. There was lemonade and cake for everybody but we didn't get any because we went back to our classrooms before the end of the ceremony. After it was over and all the guests left, we had some. I love going to Maury. It's a great school!"

"Hi! My name is Matias Hendi. I am 6 years old in kindergarten in Ms Milton's class at Maury. When Maury was 74 it was a long time to be 75. Maury was a good school when it was 73. When Maury was 72 I did not go to the school here. I will finish Maury when it is its 80th anniversary. It's a long time away!"
