On Tuesday, June 7, the Herndon/Reston Long & Foster's office spent an inclusive day of volunteering during the annual companywide Community Service Day. The local Herndon/Reston office volunteered at the Herndon Closet, benefiting Fairfax County homeless and hungry.

Thirty-six area high-school seniors have been named winners of the Long & Foster Real Estate, Inc., $200,000 Scholarship Program for the company's Northern Virginia region.

Outside financial aid experts selected the 200 total winners from across the company's seven-state Mid-Atlantic region and the District of Columbia based on: school leadership, academic success, extracurricular activities, community involvement, work outside of school, recommendation letters and personal essays. Each winner received a $1,000 scholarship to help them attend school in the fall. The objective of the Scholarship Program is to nurture students who show potential for lifelong leadership. Scholarships are awarded to well-rounded high school seniors, entering an accredited four-year college or university.

This years winners in Fairfax County include Jessica Kabaz-Gomez of Oakton High School, David Bahn of Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology High School and Brendan Fuller of Bishop Ireton High School.

Anita Lasansky, manager of the Herndon/Reston Long & Foster office, announces Virgilio Vasquez as the top producer, lister, seller and the agent with the most new listings with a sales volume of $21,507,335 for the month of April.

Michael Guthrie, manager of the Reston Long & Foster office, announces Boofie O’Gorman as the top producer, lister and the agent with the most new listings with a sales volume of $6,926,400; and Sarah Moorman as the top seller.

Jon Querolo, manager of the Reston North Hills Long & Foster office, announces Marnie Schaar as the top producer and lister with a sales volume of $4,522,808; and Vicky Robertson as the top seller.

Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage’s regional vice president Paul Valentino announced the following top producing agents for the month of May for the company’s Reston/Sunrise office: Dave Houghtaling, (team) Kathy Rasnic and Eileen Dubose.

Bev Feitshans, branch manager of Weichert Realtors’ Reston office, announced that several sales associates have been honored for their achievements in May.

Earning the honor of top producer was Anne Lefevere, who led the way in dollar volume and revenue units. Lefevere is a member of the Chairman of the Board Elite Club and the President’s Gold Club, the latter signifying a high level of sales financed through Weichert Financial.

Suzanne Gaibler, a member of the Chairman of the Board Elite Club and Chairman’s Gold Club, led the office in listings. Topping the branch in listings sold was Sloan Wiesen, a member of the Executive’s Club and Executive’s Gold Club. The top seller was President’s Club member Lynn Millar.
