4th Annual Reston Grand Prix

On the streets of the Reston Town Center, nearly 600 cyclists competed in the Reston Grand Prix, presented by Evolution Cycling and the Reston Bike Club, last Sunday, June 26, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. In 12 different race categories, the event featured the Mid-Atlantic’s top men and women racers, who raced for thousands in cash and prizes, zooming around a 6-turn, 0.75 mile course.

The event raised funds and awareness for two regional non-profits, Bikes for the World and Volunteer Fairfax. The event served as an official collection site for Bikes for the World, collecting more than 30 bikes from racers and the community.

Volunteer Fairfax played an important role in supplying volunteers to keep the course safe and secure. Every race required more than 25 volunteers on the course throughout the eight hours and ten races during the day.
