Hundreds of families came out for last year’s Reston Festival, which celebrated the community’s 40th Birthday with two full days of entertainment, fine arts and crafts, food and dozens of activities for all ages. This year’s celebration, at Reston Town Center from July 9-10, will again be a two-day engagement with entertainment, food and activities.
The festival works to showcase the best local entertainment talent, artisans, businesses and community resources in celebration of the birthday of Reston. The first Reston Festival began in 1967 at the Lake Anne Village Center, sponsored by the Reston Citizens Association (RCA). Today the event is sponsored by the RCA, Reston Association, and the Reston Community Center. In 2003, the Festival moved locations from Lake Anne to its current site at the Reston Town Center, which gives the event a larger venue, allowing more space for booths and entertainment.
