&lt;sh&gt;Homicide Reported

&lt;bt&gt;On March 8 at approximately 10:58 p.m., an adult male was shot and killed. Police and medic units were called to the 700 block of North Fayette Street and discovered the victim suffering from multiple gun shot wounds to the upper body. Officers and detectives secured the scene and began to conduct a canvass of the area in attempts to locate witnesses. The victim, Corey Maurice Hargrow, a 21-year-old of Buchanan Street, was taken to Inova Alexandria Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 11:34 p.m.

A motive has not yet been determined and this case still remains under investigation.

&lt;sh&gt;Delivery Robberies

&lt;bt&gt;The two suspects in the Alexandria pizza delivery robberies have been formally charged in Alexandria. The two men, arrested last week in Washington, D.C., waived extradition and were brought to Alexandria yesterday. Michael Lee, 18, of Water Fowl Way, in Upper Marlboro, Md., and Matthew James Belland, 18, of Rosey Bill Drive in Upper Marlboro, Md., were charged with Armed Carjacking. They were scheduled to have an advisement in Alexandria General District Court on Friday, March 4.

&lt;sh&gt;Meeting on Metro

&lt;bt&gt;U.S. Rep. Jim Moran will hold a Town Hall Meeting to discuss constituent concerns about the future of Metro.

The meeting will aim to address how to ensure that Metro gets commuters to and from work safely and efficiently. The guest speaker will be Richard White, general manager and CEO of Metro. Fairfax County Supervisor and Chairman of Metro's Board of Directors Dana Kauffman and Arlington County Board member and Metro Board member Chris Zimmerman will also be in attendance. The meeting will be Monday, March 14, from 7:30-9 p.m. at the Arlington County Board, Room 307, 2100 Clarendon Blvd., Arlington.

&lt;sh&gt;New Chairman of Airport Committee

&lt;bt&gt;Rob Krupicka of the Alexandria City Council recently took over as chairman of COG's Committee on Noise Abatement and Aviation at National and Dulles Airports.

As chair, Krupicka intends to increase the personal and collective involvement of each committee member and jurisdiction. As his first official act, Krupicka thanked the outgoing chair, Barbara Favola of the Arlington County Board, for her leadership.

The committee was formed in 1985 by the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments Board of Directors. Its mission is to provide a regional policy perspective on airport noise matters on behalf of the Washington area's local governments.
