St. Joseph's School Pack 913 Cub Scouts, from left, Aidan Toole, Matt Klein and Charlie Knoll listen to a lesson by Baltimore Maritime Museum volunteer and educator during the scouts' recent overnight learning experience aboard the U.S.S. Torsk in Baltimore. The adventure began with a private guided tour of the ship and included a fact-finding scavenger hunt, lessons in buoyancy and communication techniques such as signal flags, light signals and Morse code. The scouts enjoyed dinner and breakfast aboard the neighboring lightship Chesapeake, which along with the Torsk is also managed by the Baltimore Maritime Museum. The Torsk served in Pearl Harbor and is credited for sinking the last ship prior to the end of World War II.
