<lst>Great Falls Studio Artists Annual Library Show. The Friends of the Great Falls Library announce the Great Falls Studios annual Library Show to be held at the Great Falls Library through Saturday, April 30. There will be an Open House on Saturday, March 19 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., and many of the artists will be in attendance. The library is located at 9830 Georgetown Pike. It is open Monday-Thursday from 10 a.m.-9 p.m., Friday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Monthly Watercolor Art Workshop. Any adult familiar with watercolor basics is welcome to attend for a modest fee. Sessions run on the second Tuesday of each month and began on March 8, but space is still available. The class will end on June 14. The McLean Project for the Arts 24th Annual Youth Art Show elementary school exhibit, featuring art by elementary students of McLean area schools, runs through March 26. McLean Project for the Arts Spring Exhibition runs from April 28-June 4 and features the works of Rebecca Kamen and Peggy Feerick, as well as works by students from the art departments of Northern Virginia Community College and George Mason University. Kamen's two and three - dimensional work explores the nexus of science, myth and art. Feerick's photography examines both the illusions and allusions inherent in her relationship with the life-sustaining substance, food. The McLean Project for the Arts' biennial juried exhibition, Strictly Painting V, features mid-Atlantic artists working with paint or paint in combination with other materials, and runs from June 16-July 30. The exhibition is curated by Jonathan P. Binstock, Curator of Contemporary Art at the Corcoran Gallery of Art. Art Classes. The Great Falls Art Center provides weekly classes in drawing, oil painting, pottery, sculpture and art history for children over 6, teenagers, adults and seniors at its Walker Road studio in Great Falls. The Artisans United Craft Gallery is featuring the work of the Waterford Weavers in a fine craft sale and exhibition through March at the gallery, 4022 Hummer Road, Annandale. "Old Spanish Towns in The Andes," watercolors by Connie F. Shahan, is on display through Sunday, April 3, at The Loft Gallery, 313 Mill Street, Occoquan, Va. Shahan worked for many years in the corporate world while pursuing art as hobby and, in the past five years, she has been painting full time. She has participated in collective and solo shows at the Art League, the Vienna Art Society, River Farm,tThe Loft Gallery, the Inter American Development Bank and selected galleries in Northern Virginia. Gallery hours are Tuesday - Friday, 11 a.m.- 4 p.m., Saturday, 11 a.m.- 5 p.m., and Sunday, noon - 5 p.m.

"In Color ... Or Not?," featuring plant and abstract photograms by Jan Bender of Great Falls and stained glass by Jack and Bette Conley of Front Royal, continues through April 4 at the Artists' Undertaking Gallery, 309 Mill St., Occoquan, Va.
