Area Man Charged in Child Porn Case

Fairfax County Police arrested Eric Paul Boucher, 37, on Tuesday, May 9, on charges of possession and manufacture of child pornography.

According to a search warrant, police met with a confidential informant on April 15. The informant told police about being at Boucher's apartment in the 8100 block of Prescott Drive in Merrifield on April 9. The informant was with others who police say Boucher knew to be under the age of 18.

The informant told police that Boucher showed them a laptop computer which had pictures of nude males in various poses and sexually explicit positions. Police say they spoke with the males in the photos and confirmed that they were minors and were in the photos.

Police searched Boucher’s apartment on April 16. Among the items they found, according to the search warrant, were bags of a "green leafy substance," several pipes, a glass bong, computer and video equipment, a camera and 11 nude photographs.

Three juvenile males were involved in the incident, said Officer Richard Henry of the Fairfax County Police. The narcotics aspect of the investigation is still under investigation, Henry said.

Boucher was charged with three counts each of manufacturing child pornography and possession of child pornography. He is being held in the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center without bond.
