A two-day jury trial has been set in the case of Rossi Harricharan, 18, of Sterling, who allegedly used a knife or machete to cut another man, officials said.
Circuit Court Judge Thomas Horne set the trial Tuesday after a grand jury indicted Harricharan on charges of malicious wounding and breaking and entering, a court clerk and Commonwealth's Attorney James Plowman said.
Harricharan and a juvenile were arrested in February after at least three people allegedly chased a 21-year-old Sterling man and cut him, said Kraig Troxell, spokesman for the Sheriff's Office. The victim was seriously injured.
Horne set the trial for Sept. 27 and 28. Investigators are still looking for the other alleged suspects.
A judge found probable cause during a preliminary hearing last month.
