Getting To Know ...

Lisa Martin is the founder, president and CEO of LeapFrog Solutions, Inc., a Fairfax-based creative marketing company. A longtime area resident, she was recently named president of Volunteer Fairfax. She is this week's People Profile.

Years in the community:

Seventeen.

Family:

My husband, Jean-Paul and I have two daughters, Charlotte, 14, and Dominique, 10.

Education:

I graduated from the University of Arizona with bachelor's degrees in marketing and French, and received my master's of business administration from George Washington University in marketing and international business.

Achievements:

Personally and professionally, I have been recognized for my achievements. I've also been a featured speaker at numerous events focusing on the effective use of multimedia and Internet marketing including the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS), Women in Film and Video, National Women's Business Center, and the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority. I'm on the board of directors of FCCC (Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce), NVTC (Northern Virginia Technology Council), Leadership Fairfax and am the president of Volunteer Fairfax. In addition, I'm an active member in NMS (New Media Society) and a 1999 graduate of the Leadership Fairfax and NVTC Mindshare programs.

Activities/interests/hobbies:

In addition to my professional activities, I enjoy kick boxing, tennis, golf and yoga.

Favorite local restaurant:

La Provence in Vienna.

Community concerns:

We need to tap the talent of the Fairfax community through participation/strengthening of Volunteer Fairfax.

What brought you here?

My father was in the Air Force and was stationed at the Pentagon.

Community hidden treasure:

This has to be the resources and staff of Volunteer Fairfax.

Personal goals: My goal is to be in the best shape of my life by my 45th birthday!
