The League of Reston Artists presents, at the University of Phoenix Northern Virginia Campus, 11730 Plaza America Drive, Suite 200, an exhibition of fine art water photography by Corey Hilz. Exhibition runs through Jan. 27. The Elden Street Players present Conor McPherson's "The Weir", with performances at 8 p.m. through Nov. 19. The play, set in a pub in Ireland, includes a series of ghost stories told by the barman, two regulars and a woman new to town. Three Perspectives on the Natural World, an exhibition that explores the artists’ dialogue with the natural world, is currently on display at the Greater Reston Arts Center through Nov. 26. The exhibition is sponsored by Nature’s Best Magazine. In coordination with the exhibition, GRACE will offer a multi-age workshop, Combining Forces: Exploring Art and Nature, Nov. 19, 10 a.m.-noon. Tour GRACE’s current exhibition, “Three Perspectives on the Natural World”, with the curator and examine Nature Exhibits with a naturalist from the Walker Nature Education Center. The program will include an opportunity to make your own art in a workshop with the artists.

The Herndon Parks and Recreation Department hosts a Men’s Doubles Tennis Tourney, Nov. 25-27, in a round robin format at the Brady Park Indoor Tennis Center. Registration forms are available at the center. The entry fee is $25 per player and all players must have a partner. Teen Cinema Afterschool Program. Teens ages 12-17 are invited to the Herndon Community Center for an afternoon of refreshments and a movie — all free. The League of Reston Artists presents a Pencil and Pen Art Exhibit, through the University of Phoenix Northern Virginia Campus, 11730 Plaza America Drive, Suite 200. The exhibit, by the Colored Pencil Society of America, Poets Anonymous and Lake Anne Poets consists of 52 pieces of cross-medium inspired artwork, resulting from the collaboration between thirteen poets and thirteen colored pencil artists. The watercolors of geologist-turned-painter Mary Rainey-Medlin will be displayed through Nov. 30 at the RCC Hunters Woods, 2310 Colts Neck Road. The League of Reston Artists presents its Annual Juried Theme Exhibition at Walker and Company, 12006 Sunrise Valley Drive, Reston. This year’s theme is “Edges,” featuring works of contemporary art by LRA members. Visitors are encouraged to vote for their favorite work, the artist with the most votes will be awarded the People’s Choice Award. The exhibition, free and open to the public, runs through Dec. 3. Warm Clothes from Warm Hearts clothing drive for new, warm, hats, socks and gloves for men, women and children. Donations count for admittance to a Dec. 3, 10 a.m., performance by James Daniels, Gospel recording artist, Michael J. Girdy and Company, saxophonist, and A New Voice Inc., youth theatre group, Tally Ho Theatre, 19 West Market St., Leesburg. 25 percent of all financial and clothing donations will be distributed to the Salvation Army’s Hurricane Relief Fund.

The Reston Community Center's Senior book group meets every fourth Thursday, from 12:30 to 2 p.m., at the Reston Community Center, Hunters Woods to discuss a wide variety of books. Coffee, tea and cookies are provided at no charge. Participants should bring a bag lunch. Books are on reserve at the Information Desk of the Reston Regional Library.

Live band swing dancing at the Dulles Hilton, located at the corner of McLearan Road and Route 28 in Herndon, every Friday night with Sue and Gary Caley.
