The Friends of Claude Moore Park, a 501C(3) organization and advisory group to Claude Moore Park, will hold its September monthly membership meeting Wednesday, Sept. 7, at 7 p.m. The meeting will be held at Pavilion 2 in the historic area; tours of the Lanesville House will be available during the evening.
Agenda topics for this fall meeting include the upcoming restoration of the Bridges Schoolhouse, the fall arts and crafts show and the results of the archaeological dig. The Friends are looking for new members who want to preserve this green space and resource to the community, and this meeting is open to the general public. Topic areas for new members include history and restoration, gardening/plants, trails/hiking, sports, special events and membership. Members of all ages and abilities are welcome.
