Herndon High School was the battleground for Marching Bands from across the region to compete Saturday, Sept. 24 during the Showcase of the Bands.
During the event, various school's marching bands and color guards performed together for various awards.
Because this year's event was judged by the U.S. Scholastic Band Association, Herndon High School's marching band and color guard were able to compete in the event. In previous years the band could not compete because the event was judged by Herndon High School parent and teacher volunteers and former band alumni.
