Box Rally. A troop rally for soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan will be from 2-4 p.m., at James Lee Community Center, 2885-A Annandale Road, Falls Church. During the past two years, 400 boxes have been mailed to soldiers. The goal is to pack 200 boxes to send to deployed soldiers. Groups and volunteers are needed to help with this effort. Items are needed to fill the cartons, people to help pack the boxes and sponsors to mail them out. The boxes are the flat rate boxes that cost $8.80 to mail. There is no sign up, just show up. Art Spotlight. Fairfax City's Spotlight on the Arts 2006 starts with the Fairfax Art League Spotlight Art Show and Reception from 2-4 p.m., at Old Town Hall, 3999 University Drive, Fairfax.
