25th Anniversary Gala and Auction

This year the Mount Vernon Community Children’s Theatre celebrates 25 years of producing children’s theatre in Northern Virginia. Over the years, thousands of young people have performed in MVCCT productions, participated in classes and summer camps, and enjoyed the thrill of being involved in live theatre.

On April 29, MVCCT will celebrate this anniversary with a Gala and Art Auction at the Lyceum, 201 South Washington St. in Old Town. The evening begins at 7 p.m. with a wine and hors d’oeuvres reception and art preview, followed by a live auction at 8:30 p.m. The auction will feature a diverse array of prints and original art, in a variety of price ranges.

Proceeds from the Gala and Art Auction will benefit the artistic and educational programs of MVCCT, as well as support scholarships to participants in financial need.

MVCCT is collecting memorabilia including programs and photographs from former participants for a display and slide presentation. They are especially looking for items from early productions (1980-1990). Any former participants with memorabilia are asked to contact the office at 703-360-0686, or e-mail mvcct@verizon.net.
