Approximately 200 Loudoun County Verizon customers were unable to surf the Web Friday, including the county government.
Verizon spokesperson Christie Reap said a contractor doing construction work hit a Verizon cable on Catoctin Circle in Leesburg.
"Mostly businesses and a few residents were affected for most or part of the day," Reap said.
The cable was repaired and the Internet was up and running by approximately midnight, Friday, she said.
