The Vienna-Tysons Regional Chamber of Commerce is hosting a "Beat the Heat" speed networking breakfast, 7:30-9 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 10 at Clyde's of Tysons Corner. Cost is $25 for members with RSVP/$35 walk-in. Nonmembers add $10. Speaker is Tom Hanton of Guernsey Office Products, winner of this year's Chairman's Award for his service to VTRCC. On July 8, a new yoga and Tai Chi studio opened its doors in Vienna. The East Meets West Center is devoted to the traditional energy exercises of India and China. The center's classes include a variety of yoga styles including Kundalini, Hatha, prenatal, teen and children, as well as an array of Chinese energy exercises including several styles of Tai Chi and Chi Kung. The center offers day, evening, weekend classes and workshops. Individual instruction is available. The East Meets West Center is located at 144 Church St., N.W., Vienna. Colvin Run Tavern, 8045 Leesburg Pike, Vienna, reintroduces their cocktail menu to help cool off during the summer. In addition to the old favorites, Colvin Run is introducing the Bellini and the MangoRita. The tavern is open daily for lunch from 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Dinner is served from 5:30-10 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 5:30-10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and until 9 p.m. Sunday.
