The Boston based band Bravestate will be performing at Clarendon Grille on as part of a fundraising event for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and Team in Training on the night of Wednesday, Aug. 23. Sam Aydlette, a local boy attending Berklee School of Music in Boston is the drummer for this band. Sam attended George Mason High School and later graduated from Robinson HS in 2005. The DC Rollergirls will be out in force promoting their sport and bidding fond farewell to a favorite neighborhood bar and pool hall. The “Red, White, & Bruised” DC Rollergirl Benefit Show rolls into Dr. Dremoís Taphouse on Saturday, Aug. 26, from 6 p.m. to midnight. Dr. Dremo’s is located at 2001 Clarendon Boulevard in Arlington. Featuring DJ High C with live performances by So Damn Thirsty, Stupyd Cow, Captured, and Supreme Commander. Admission is free.

Tandoori Nights, 2800 Clarendon Blvd., Arlington, will offer special mixology classes at the bar three Monday nights in September from 6-7 p.m. Priced at $20 per person, classes include instructions on how to make a few of their signature cocktails, including the popular Basil Ginger Grand Martini, as well as a few classics which will be paired with authentic Indian appetizers.
