College Notes

Narie Christine Berninger of North Potomac, was named to the dean's list at Lafayette College for the 2006 spring semester. She is part of the class of 2006.

David Braford Canter of North Potomac, was named to the dean's list at Lafayette College for the 2006 spring semester. He is part of the class of 2007.

Rachel Meta Friedman of Potomac, was named to the dean's list at Lafayette College for the 2006 spring semester. She is part of the class of 2009.

Quinn Juliet Taurman of Potomac, was named to the dean's list at Lafayette College for the 2006 spring semester. She is part of the clas of 2009.

Cary Scanlon Marshall of Rockville, was named to the dean's list at Lafayette College for the 2006 spring semester. Marshall is part of the class of 2009.

Nicole Neuman, daughter of Penny and Neal Neuman of Potomac, received an undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis. She graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration in accounting and organization and human resources with minors in legal studies and psychology. She was recognized as the recipient of the Joseph W. Towle Prize, honors in management and is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma. She is a 2002 graduate of Winston Churchill High School.

Magdalena Szkudlinska, daughter of Anna and Mariusz Szkudlinski of Potomac, received an undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis. She graduated with college honors with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and psychology. Szkudlinska graduated from Winston Churchill High School in 2002.

Rose Kohn, daughter of Katie and John Kohn, received an undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis. She graduated with college honors with a Bachelor of Arts degree in music and psychology. She graduated from Winston Churchill High School in 2002.

Boston University awarded academic degrees to 5,432 students in May 2006. Receiving degress were Bethesda residents Maxim Kozlov, B.A. in History, summa cum laude; Joshua E. Levit, J.D. in Law; Lauren H. Loesberg, B.S. in Communication; Deborah L. Moody, B.A. in chemistry, summa cum laude; Constance A. Thomas, B.S.B. in Business Administraion and Management, cum laude; Ilana M. white, Mus.M in String Performance.

Bethesda resident Ellen O'Brien was named to Denison University's spring dean's list. O'Brien, a 2005 graduate of Walt Whitman High School, is a sophomore physical education (sports management) major at Denison.

Alexander A. Halls, a first-year student at Colby College and a Potomac resident, was named to the dean's list for his outstanding academic achievement during the spring semester of th 2005-2006 academic year. Halls, a Winston Churchill graduate, is majoring in government.
