Last Friday afternoon, Mayor Bill Euille met with local artists and representatives from the Del Ray Artisans and The Art League for a tour of the second floor of City Hall. The hallways have been hung with more than 100 works of art created by local artists. The art was juried and the top three selections received special notice. More than 10 honorable mentions were also cited.
The art will be on display until mid-July. Art League artist Cheryl Dwyer received first place for “Moon Party.” Courtney Stevens placed second with her mixed media sculpture titled, “Gigi.” Donna Carter placed third with her painting, “City Squared.”
