Sully Elementary School PTO members Peter Kronenberg and Valerie Petrey have worked hard on fund raising for Discovery Park, an educational playground to be built in October.
Project coordinators Kronenberg and Petrey have generated a lot of support for the community-based project. Thursday, Dec. 29, The Claude Moore Charitable Foundation in Fairfax donated $20,000 to the community-based project.
Broadlands Medical Center made a $2,500 donation to the Sully Elementary School PTO in support of Discovery Park Friday, Jan. 6.
"The Discovery Park project is now about 40 percent toward its goal," Kronenberg said.
The Sully Elementary School PTO will host Circus on Strings, a puppet show, Saturday, Jan. 28, at 11 a.m. The admission price is $8 per person and children under 2 are admitted free. All proceeds go toward Discovery Park.
