The Potomac Chamber of Commerce represents and promotes area businesses and serves as a civic organization that promotes area businesses and sponsors annual events such as the Potomac Day celebration held during the last Saturday in October in Potomac Village. Its goals include enhancing, developing and expanding public awareness of the products and services offered by its members; offering outstanding service in furthering business knowledge, self-development and networking activities; and providing community service and encouraging cooperation and goodwill among members and the public.

The Potomac Chamber of Commerce is currently seeking nominees for annual Youth of the Year, Businessperson of the Year and Citizen of the Year awards. Winners, selected by the Potomac Chamber of Commerce's Awards Committee, will be honored at the Potomac Day Parade and presented with plaques during an awards ceremony. This nonprofit management organization provides landscaping and maintenance for the downtown Bethesda area, and sponsors many concert series as well as adult dance classes, children's events and many more activities throughout Bethesda.
