Sugarland Elementary School, 65 Sugarland Run Drive, Sterling, will hold a "Children of the World" festival, June 8, 6:30 p.m. The community is invited to celebrate the students and the many cultures they represent.

Park View High SchoolÕs Project Graduation celebration, a all-night, non-alcoholic graduation celebration, begins at 11 p.m., Friday, June 16, graduation day, at the high school. This year, the theme is ÒMovie ManiaÓ and includes door prizes Ñ such as college scholarships, karaoke, boardwalk games, hairdressers, caricaturists, a balloon artist, a casino, an obstacle course, a bungee run, a Rock ÔEm-Sock ÔEm, a money machine and lots of food. It finishes at 5:30 a.m., after a ÒwomanlessÓ beauty contest and breakfast. The students are chaperoned by parents and teachers throughout the night.

Parents are needed to make decorations, pick up donated food, spend part or all of the night chaperoning the party June 16, clean up afterwards and help plan for next yearÕs celebration, among other tasks. Anyone who can volunteer one to four hours is encouraged to assist with setting up the event between 1:30-9 p.m., June 14, and between 9 a.m.-9 p.m. June 15 and June 16, should sign up on the Web site, www.loudoun.k12.va.us/pvhs/site/default.asp.

Dominion High School's second annual Project Graduation, a night-long celebration of the Class of 2006, will take place June 17, at the high school from 11 p.m.-5 a.m.

This alcohol- and drug-free event, following that morning's graduation exercises, is sponsored by ATLAS and being organized by the parents of underclassmen to provide an exciting, fun-filled, and safe celebration.

The theme will be "A Day at the Beach" and will feature a disc jockey, dancing, games and giveaways. Food is expected to include submarines sandwiches, ice slushies and a chocolate fountain. Door prizes will be drawn all night. A grand prize will be awarded at breakfast.

Many businesses and community organizations have already contributed to make this a truly memorable night for students. The 1976 gradating class of Broad Run High School in Ashburn is holding its 30-year reunion July 22, at the Holiday Inn at Carradoc Hall in Leesburg.
