Join the members of Springfield NARFE Chapter 893 for their meeting Wednesday, May 10, at 1:30 p.m. The topic will be "Dealing with Hearing Loss." NARFE, a nonprofit organization, works to protect the earned retirement benefits of current and former federal employees. Learn about progressive deafness and the options available to deal with it. Mothers First Fairfax is dedicated to supporting women who have chosen to alter their careers to raise their children at home. Motorcycle Riding Club Meet-N-Eat on the Wednesday, April 26 at 7 p.m., sponsored by the Fairfax County chapter of the Southern Cruisers Riding Club at the Springfield Hard Times Cafe. Meetings take place the fourth Wednesday of every month to introduce new members and to plan for upcoming rides and events. The Southern Cruisers is a family-oriented motorcycle riding club, and covers the entire spectrum from new riders to veteran bikers. Riders of any make or model of motorcycle are welcome. Music event. The Kings Park Concert Band, under the direction of Conductor Rich Bergman is now rehearsing for spring performances and is looking for adults interested in playing in the band. All are welcome and no auditions are required. Membership is open to adults who played in high school or college and want to continue playing. Programs feature typical band music, including light classics, marches, and popular compositions. New Neighbors League Club of DC Metro. A non-profit organization, is looking for those new to the area or newly retired and looking for new activities and friends. The Springfield Art Guild (SAG) is open for new membership. SAG promotes an interest in arts and crafts through educational programs, juried shows and classes for adults and children. The Celebration Singers. An all-volunteer, 40-voice, three-part harmony choreographed and costumed women's show chorus, invites women interested in singing to join them.
