Rachlin learned from Caballeros that the pole outside his shop hadn't worked in years. Rachlin searched the Internet and learned about Marvy and Co. in St. Paul, Minn., which sold the very same pole to a barber supply company in 1963. Rachlin sent the parts necessary to repair the pole. After closing time on a recent evening, Caballeros and Rachlin spent two hours repairing the pole, after which the pole lit up and rotated as it did in 1963.
